Clinical leaders and residents from Internal Medicine and Family Medicine distributed hundreds of free first-aid kits to students during Bronco Bash.

To increase visibility and attract new patients, a handful of clinical leaders and residents from 成人头条 participated in 成人头条 University鈥檚 Bronco Bash.聽

The 43rd annual welcome back to school event, held Tuesday, August 26, on WMU鈥檚 main campus, drew thousands of students and community members and featured more than 450 booths dedicated to sharing information, marketing services, and securing volunteers.聽

Clinical leaders and residents from Internal Medicine and Family Medicine distributed hundreds of free first-aid kits to students throughout the afternoon, along with informational materials highlighting 成人头条鈥檚 clinical service offerings and the medical school鈥檚 curriculum.聽

鈥淚t was great to share some of the wonderful things about WMed with members of our Kalamazoo community,鈥 said Nicole Allbee, PhD, the medical school鈥檚 chief of staff. 鈥淲e talked to so many people who were surprised and excited to hear about the clinical care we can offer them.鈥澛

Members of the WMed Simulation Center were also on hand at Bronco Bash, recruiting standardized patients for acting roles and offering hands-on activities to showcase all the Sim Center has to offer.聽

Interactive activities at the Sim Center booth included intubation practice, a high-fidelity infant manikin featuring heart/lung sounds, pulse points, and reactive eyes, and a hands-only CPR challenge.聽

鈥淲e met many fantastic people interested in healthcare careers,鈥 said Ryan Richards, senior operations manager of the Sim Center. 鈥淭he event was a great success, full of meaningful conversations and community connections. We truly enjoyed representing WMed and sharing a glimpse of what we do.鈥
