
The medical school is pleased to welcome two new faculty members to its departments of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Â
Lyndsey Reynolds, MD, is an assistant professor of pediatric endocrinology in the Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
Dr. Reynolds is an alumnus of Albion College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and biochemistry in 2012. She received her MD from Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in 2016, and went on to complete a residency in pediatrics at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2019. Â
Prior to joining the medical school, Dr. Reynolds completed a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology from the University of Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan.Â
Dr. Reynolds’ clinical interests include type 1 diabetes, growth, medical education, and transgender health care. Her research interests include infant appetite and growth. Â

Meanwhile, Charita Roque, MD, has joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an assistant professor.
Dr. Roque is an alumna of Sewanee: The University of the South, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and International Studies in 2007. She went on to earn a master’s degree in medical science from Indiana University School of Medicine in May 2011, and followed that with a combined MD/MPH in global health from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 2016. Â
Dr. Roque completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Case Western in 2020. She went on to complete a fellowship in complex family planning from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2022. Â
Dr. Roque’s research and clinical interests include family planning.
