Biosketch
Edward Roth, PhD, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist with 成人头条 University. He is a graduate of 成人头条 University, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He earned a masters degree in neurologic music therapy from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. He earned a doctorate in interdisciplinary health sciences from 成人头条 University. Dr. Roth is active in undergraduate and graduate education at 成人头条 University. He is an active publisher and presenter in the field of music therapy and neuroscience. His areas of interest and expertise include music therapy education, musical neurochemistry, and rhythmic auditory stimulation. Dr. Roth has worked in several clinical settings with clients in various neurological, physical and psychiatric diagnostic categories. While working as a teaching and research assistant at the Center for Biomedical Research in Music at Colorado State University, he led music therapy and counseling groups for adolescents diagnosed with post-traumatic stress and acute anxiety disorders from Columbine High School in Littleton, Colo. Prior clinical experiences also include service as a music therapist at Blythedale Children鈥瞫 Hospital, Westchester, New York, the University of Michigan Medical Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Bronson and Borgess Medical Centers, Kalamazoo, Michigan. Roth is a member of the American Music Therapy Association and the New York Academy of Sciences, and is certified by the Certification Board for Music Therapists.
